We are looking for a confident, growth-oriented Vice President to join our team in our New York office.
This is a unique opportunity to establish a leadership position at a highly entrepreneurial investment bank. Vice Presidents at MPG are critical to the success of our firm, and are responsible for new business development, stalwart transaction execution, and hands-on client advisory. The position requires significant inter-personal and production management skills, and suitable candidates will possess a strong client success track record with quantifiable strategic and investor relationships.
Candidates for the role should have meaningful exposure to numerous software sectors and demonstrate strong understanding of the broader technology economy. We expect to discuss specific client engagements and each candidates’ experience leading transactions for software, business services, or data companies.
Our ten-year strategic plan considers a range of growth initiatives, including new offices, new advisory services, and other offerings found at the largest mid-market investment banks. Duties and Responsibilities
We expect our Vice Presidents to lead a range of client and prospect assignments. While numerous projects will emerge, Vice Presidents are responsible for upholding MPG’s rigorous standards for detailed research and analysis, comprehensive corporate and financial advisory, and entrepreneurial client prospecting:
- Conducting yourself professionally and ethically in all circumstances
- Leading transactions, including managing the development of client marketing collateral, counterparty and process management, and negotiation
- Personal leadership for unique sector coverage and business development efforts
- Create and foster client relationships through active prospecting effort
- Managing the efficient and timely completion of key projects and deliverables
- Guide the completion of complex financial analysis, modeling, industry and market research
- Attending and participating in business development and client meetings, both in person and over video conference
Required Qualifications
- Completion of securities-related examinations, including SIE, Series 79, and Series 63
- At least six (6) years of experience at established boutique or mid-market investment bank
- Track-record of working with leading growth-stage or mid-market clients
- Demonstrated success with new business development and client pitching
